Chitkarians rule the world of Spelling Bee

Chitkara International School geniuses are State Champions of MaRRS International Spelling Bee Competition held on 24 November 2013 at Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, Chandigarh. The competition was organized by Sansar Educational services. More than 150 students from the tricity and Punjab schools participated in the state level competition. Chitkara International School students, Saksham Talwar and Shaurya stood 1st and 2nd respectively in category 1 and Tanveer Sood bagged 5thposition in category 2. “Chitkara International School has performed excellently in the State level round and we wish them luck for the National Level”, said a representative of Sansar Educational Services.
MaRRS International spelling bee competition initiates students into the world of competitive learning, acting as an invaluable tool for language improvement .The healthy competitive spirit motivates the students to learn on their own without any compulsion.
Ms. Niyati Chitkara, Principal of Chitkara International School said that she was thrilled by the level of performance her school students have given in the competition and commended the efforts put in by the students, parents and the teachers. She also mentioned that the school motivates and prepares students for being part of such competitions as it encourages self based learning, improves retention and results in a systematic and structured understanding of the English language.
