Sports Fiesta – Honouring the Champions of the Field
A nation’s sporting culture exhibits great deal about its citizens and perhaps, itself, as for ages, great sportspersons have stood as the epitome of perseverance, grace, fortitude and indomitable grit. Sports inculcate a sense of selflessness and altruism in the players that invariably ensures the upliftment of a society. In wake of National Sports Day, recently commemorated at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex, New Delhi, CIS ascertains the significance of expressing heartfelt deference to the success of school’s budding sportsmen and sportswomen. While the youngsters of India are making the nation proud overseas in various international sports contests, and are being rightly acknowledged for the same, it becomes equally necessary to honour the sports prodigies at home, rather, their second home i.e. the school.
Therefore, the school feels immensely elated to announce that it shall be holding a celebratory event, ‘Sports Fiesta – Honouring the Champions of the Field’ for the school’s sportspersons on 27th September 2019 with a sincere aim of celebrating their victories off the field and empowering them to foray into the athletic world with absolute fervour and conviction. The event nobly intends to honour various sports teams of CIS for their respective achievements in disparate sports categories. It aims to acknowledge the unconquerable mettle displayed by CIS’s budding sportspersons on the field. The event shall further be ennobled and graced by an illustrious personality of the sports field who shall also be the honourable chief guest of the function. The powerful presence of a well-experienced sportsperson shall veritably inspire the promising young players of CIS to relentlessly work for their goals. In addition to dignifying the event by his/her benign presence, the said sports personality shall also be sharing some thoughts & ideas with CIS’s budding sportspersons and possibly, evoke a renewed sense of admiration for sports and athletics among the students of sports.
