Communicable Diseases | Grade 7 & 8 | Health Brigade Team
Communicable diseases are caused by infectious agents that can be transmitted to other people from an infected person, animal or a source in the environment. The health problems due to communicable diseases can be tackled by the application of relatively easy measures at different levels of the health system. Moreover, once a communicable disease occurs and is identified in an individual, control/preventive measures can be applied to reduce the severity of the disease in that person, and to prevent transmission of the infectious agent to other members of the community. In line with the foregoing, Chitkara International School will be organising an illuminating and enthralling health awareness session for the students of grades 7 and 8 on “Communicable Diseases” to apprise them of the various preventive and control measures that can help in curing them. The session will be helmed by the school’s General Physician, Dr Gurpreet Bedi along with the students of Health Brigade Team who further encouraged the peer group to maintain and promote good personal hygiene to ensure sound health and wellbeing.
Indeed, the session proved to be informative and profitable.
