Chandigarh is the capital city of Punjab as well as Haryana, and is a union territory. It is one of the safest cities of the country and the educational hub of north India with more than two lakh students from across the country studying in various educational institutions in and around Chandigarh.
Chandigarh and its surrounding areas, namely Mohali and Panchkula, are on their way to become the north Indian hubs for IT industry with presence of major companies such as Infosys Technologies, Dell, Tech Mahindra, Quark and Wipro.
