Art of Action Pop-Ups – Chitkara International School

Arts assist learners to develop creative problem-solving skills and also help in the development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. Keeping the same in mind, Chitkara International School in collaboration with Chitkara University has planned an interesting and engaging webinar on Action Pop-Ups. Action Pop-up is a very unique medium, mostly used with storybooks and moving illustrations. In the workshop, the facilitator will showcase the whole process as to how to execute the Action Pop-Up technique along with providing digital templates for the same to the students.

The facilitator, Mr Gurinder Pal Singh, Assistant Professor in Chitkara School of Art and Design at Chitkara University, Punjab, is a highly creative and multi-talented Graphic Designer with extensive experience in print media, digital media, typography, illustrations, papercraft and software. With over 20 years of experience, he excels in all creative things. He has been conferred upon several prestigious awards like Pt. Ravi Shankar Award in the 42 nd Annual Art Exhibition, and 1st prize in Annual Art Exhibition held at the College of Art, New Delhi for many years in a row. He has also penned down numerous books on Art, worked for Pogo Channel, New Delhi, and leading advertising agencies.
