Educational & Industrial Visits
Educational visits are eagerly anticipated by students as they create lasting experiences and memories. These excursions offer a dynamic learning environment that aligns with students’ natural curiosity, engaging even those with shorter attention spans by placing the subject matter in a real-world context.
CIS believes that a deeper and more enriched understanding of the world is gained by students through these excursions—an experience that is challenging to replicate within the confines of a classroom.
The objectives in planning and executing educational trips at CIS are multifaceted:
-
Building Confident Individuals:These trips aim to shape students’ attitudes, elevate their aspirations, and foster adaptability. By presenting challenging experiences and facilitating interactions with peers, students become more self-assured and versatile—qualities essential for their overall development.
-
Smoother Transitions: Educational visits play a crucial role in students’ personal, social, and emotional growth, particularly during key transitions, such as moving from primary to secondary school. These excursions support a seamless progression through critical stages of education, aligning with the mission to nurture well-rounded individuals.
-
Bridging the Gap: At CIS, a primary focus is bridging the academic-industry gap. Industrial visits are a key component of the curriculum, providing students with exposure to the operational dynamics of various companies and institutions. These visits offer practical insights into their academic courses that go beyond what can be taught in lectures alone. Visits have been organised to institutions such as Chitkara University in Rajpura and Baddi, Verka Milk Plant, I.T. Park Chandigarh, IMTECH, Government Museum and Art Gallery, FORTIS Hospital, RBI Chandigarh, and other locations, enriching the students’ learning experiences.
