Community Outreach
– Helen Keller
At Chitkara International School, it is strongly believed that fostering partnerships with local schools and communities brings invaluable benefits. The mission is not limited to imparting knowledge and skills; rather, it aims to cultivate a sense of well-being, social responsibility, and an understanding of rights and duties in the students, preparing them to become impactful and conscientious members of society. Great pride is taken in celebrating the accomplishments of the dynamic Chitkarian, Arryan Madhu Chitkara, who has been recognised as the Brand Ambassador for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 and Swachh Survekshan 2023 for Chandigarh City.
Guided by a spirit of philanthropy, Chitkara International School remains committed to meaningful collaborations with diverse communities and the adoption of villages and schools. Through these efforts, the school continues to work towards a shared vision of creating a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.

Contributions – “By sharing, we stand ready to build relationships and give wings to humanity”
At Chitkara International School (CIS), a longstanding tradition of sharing resources with neighbouring schools and communities has been upheld. In line with the school’s charitable ethos, essential items such as furniture, clothes, toys, and water bottles are regularly donated to support those in need. These initiatives not only provide vital assistance but also instil in the students the values and life experiences necessary to become compassionate leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.

Sessions – “Words to Make a Difference”
Service is deeply woven into the fabric of Chitkara International School (CIS). The goal is for students to grow not just intellectually, but also personally, ethically, and spiritually. It is aspired that they gain the character and wisdom to apply their knowledge for the greater good. Regular visits are made by the students, health brigade team, and staff to government schools, where informative sessions are conducted on essential topics such as First Aid Procedures, Food Hygiene and Nutrition, Adolescence Challenges, Menstrual Hygiene, and Child Safety.
In collaboration with Government Senior Secondary School, Dhanas, sessions that align with the Swachh Bharat mission, promoting cleanliness and health awareness, are also organised. At Chitkara International School (CIS), ongoing efforts are dedicated to generating impactful local knowledge that transcends borders, ensuring that contributions enhance the surrounding communities and inspire meaningful global change.

Events – “Coming Together and Joining Hands to Serve”
At Chitkara International School (CIS), community events are frequently hosted, embracing opportunities to engage with those less privileged and fostering openness to new ideas, innovations, and individuals for the greater good of society. Through these events, resilience and strong character are developed in the students and staff, expanding their social circles while refining leadership skills through meaningful volunteer experiences.
